This mainly discuss ticketing / performer December 21, 2007 To Alumni Executive =========================================== 1. Inviting a choir of NOT Kung Lee Affliated to perform is a suggestion. We will try our best to focus on Kung Lee College/Alumni first. Eventually, it is an alumni activity, Another problem is that when we invite an outside group, which is huge in size like a choir (they can easily reach 20 or more), we will have to do our courtesy to give them 2 tickets per person (might be one at least). Of course, this is a kind of courtesy only, we might choose not to do that. We will lose our income or our courtesy, either one of them. For a similar reason, a big chorus, even from Kung Lee College, will post such a problem. We need to be careful about that! We encountered such dilemma when we held the concert in 1983. 2. I have analyzed the ticketing in the plan. http://www.lochikeung.name/C08_plan1.html#_Toc185263764 We have roughly a quota of 240-300 seats for alumni and their family to fill. We just have to be working hard to dig out as many contacts as possible to deliver the news to them and involve real people to sell them the privileges of coming to listen to the concert. Personal contact is always more effective. 3. I think once you guys agree to launch the project, we need to work with KLC very closely for 3 things. a- Finding out all those winners of singing contest of these years and contact them for the show. b- Contacting specific teachers who taught music in KLC for more details. Does the current KLC have music teacher or even music class? We have to go back to Key To School for the info. Fortunately, Lui Chun Lun is in your committee and I think he would be glad to assist us. We can know whether there are talents such as violin player or others. Who has studied music .... c- Finally, dig out the contact info of Kung Lee College graduates of the past years, especially the most recent ones that I believe the school would keep their email address. Otherwise, we have to send physical mails. And definitely we will have to grasp firmly the graduate of the coming year and the one next to it. 4.. Chu Pui Shun ¦¶¨ØµÏ Sun Ming Kwong & Cheung Wai Yee, Bonnie: Don't you guys remember her? Do you have contacts with her? I think Li Wai Hung has contacted you and he has mentioned about Chu Pui Shun. She performed in our 1987 concert as a winner of the school singing contest. She was the 3rd winner of the HK TVB New Takent Compet. In 1989 or so. But she should be in US now and is taking singing as a profession. Unfortunately, she most likely is not able to take part because she is in New York, I think. I will see whether she answered my mail. Thanks!
